Sun-Sentinel 4/6/2012: Tamarac planning series of bike paths

Plans are in motion for interconnected bike paths throughout Tamarac that will link with Broward County's network of bikeways, nature trails and walking paths.

Using a combination of city and grant dollars, Tamarac recently hired M&M Asphalt Maintenance Inc. for roadwork for the first phase of the bike path network.


Phase 1 will be a $1.1 million project that will encompass the following area just north of Commercial Boulevard: north along Northwest 94th Avenue to McNab Road, then west on McNab to Nob Hill Road, then north on Nob Hill to Southgate Boulevard.


There, the paths will link to the Cypress Creek Greenway, which is part of Broward County's Greenways path network on Southgate Boulevard, along the C-14 canal.
